History
Formed in 1994
Several prominent independent tire dealers in the Southern California area formed Independent Tire Dealers Group, LLC, in 1994. These far-sighted businessmen recognized that for independent tire and wheel dealers to be successful in the long term, they would need to be part of a new type of buying structure. An organization that would develop volume driven purchase programs with leading industry manufacturers for its members. Independent Tire Dealers Group, LLC became a reality based upon the concept of "dealer co-opetition"—competitive enterprises united together to obtain the advantages of volume purchasing power and the strength of dynamic business entrepreneurs working together, as a team, to enhance competitive position and the profitability of its dealer/member companies.

Volume Purchase Agreements
In 1994, Independent Tire Dealers Group, LLC started with one basic tire supplier. Today, Independent Tire Dealers Group, LLC has volume purchase programs with numerous tire sources; providing a wide variety of passenger car, light truck, commercial truck and specialty tires; several wheel and wheel accessory suppliers; a number of automotive parts vendors and tire equipment manufacturers.
Future
