point S is the leading independent tire and auto service dealer network in Europe with more than 2,000 point-of-sale members in 21 countries. For the last 40 years, the point S brand has been synonymous with expertise and high service standards in every country where they are established. In 2010 point S accounted for 6% market share in Europe and sold over 12 million tires.
On November 1st, 2011, ITDG signed a Master Franchise Agreement with point S Development giving ITDG the exclusive rights to the point S brand in the United States. The addition of ITDG to the point S network has resulted in the formation of the largest independent buying cooperative in the world. ITDG and point S have very similar business models and cultures with both networks founded as purchasing groups. Expected synergies of this new cooperation will come through our common relationships with tire manufacturers, development of proprietary product lines, international group image and visibility, joint sourcing, usage of point S retail concepts, sharing of "best practices" and international fleet coverage.
